Fat Injections No More

The excitement keeps building about the pending FDA approval of Perlane. This uber-dense hyaluronic acid filler can sculpt luscious cheeks, fluff deep facial hollows, and reshape the chin and jaw.

It is suggested that Perlane is the pharmaceutical alternative to fat injections. You don't need your own fat store in order to be treated, which is great news for thin women. And Perlane can create more predictable results than fat injections because it stays where it is injected and does not lose any initial volume (up to 30% or more of fat can be reabsorbed within a few weeks of injection).
Perlane is indeed a pharmaceutical alternative to fat injections.

Perlane is a type of hyaluronic acid, and as such also an alternative to Restylane. Perlane is made up of large particles designed for deeper wrinkles and areas in need of greater volume enhancement, such as the mid and upper face. The larger molecules make Perlane a more substantial, more viscous product, which means that it is generally injected more deeply than Restylane. Perlane is thus ideal for deeper nasolabial folds, tear troughs, and marionette lines.

The main benefit of Perlane over fat injections is that it requires a less invasive procedure: no need for a mini liposuction, or the anesthesia, or the potential side effects associated with the procedure. And in this world where speed is the name of the game, the procedure time required for Perlane injections is much less than that needed for fat injections.

It should be noted, however, that using Perlane to correct significant volume loss can be cost-prohibitive as compared to fat injections.
